MuscatStream has concluded structuring work for a petcoke export allocation with embedded climate outcomes, linking trade flow to mangrove restoration along Oman’s southern coastline. The model is being reviewed by international verification partners and will inform future blue carbon-linked exports.
MuscatStream has finalized a commercial structure linking petcoke export volumes to nature-based climate outcomes — a first-of-its-kind model in the region. The framework enables Oman’s outbound industrial trade to be matched with measurable environmental impact through blue carbon projects along the southern coastline.
The structure embeds a shipment-level emissions methodology, aligning with ISO 14064 and ISO 14067 standards, with optional offset integration through mangrove restoration and verified carbon credits.
The model is now being reviewed by global verification partners and potential offtake buyers. It is designed to support Oman’s Vision 2040 priorities by enabling climate-aligned trade flows and positioning MuscatStream as a pioneer in carbon-aware structuring within the commodity ecosystem.
Further details on implementation partners and issuance protocols will be shared as the model progresses toward activation.
