How It Works (Cradle-to-Gate)
1 Scope & Data
From extraction to export: cradle-to-gate emissions include processing, transport, and storage.
2 Ex-Ante Inputs
Inputs include route, vessel class, cargo type, and loading parameters
3 Ex-Post Inputs
Whenever available, we use actual fuel consumption and voyage data for post-transaction validation.
4 Calculation
Emissions are modelled using globally recognised protocols and verified calculation tools.
5 Verification
Each output is reviewed by an accredited verifier against ISO 14064 and ISO 14067 requirements.
6 Offset Matching
Credits are matched and retired; mangrove and blue carbon options are prioritised where possible.
7 Certificate Issued
A shipment-specific “Climate-Aligned Trade” certificate is issued to the buyer, seller, or auditor.
Data We Use
Ex-ante: route, vessel class, cargo volume, loading specs.
Ex-post: fuel consumption, route details (if available).
Defaults transparently applied if post-transaction data is unavailable.
